Orion Product Development Ltd. were established in 2007 and are proudly based in the Northeast of England, an area of rich engineering heritage that gave birth to the passenger railways and the steam turbine.   Inspired by our forebears, we provide product development and technical leadership support to customers of all disciplines, product type and industries.

Our Founder and Principle Engineer

Kevin Urquhart CEng MIMechE WhSch is a practical, time-served Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Whitworth Scholar and Past President of the esteemed Whitworth Society with over 30 years of industrial experience.

He’s managed multiple successful product development and technical management activities across a number of different industries over the years and has a passion for Engineering and problem solving, demonstrated by his deliberately diverse engineering background.  He loves what he does, working with like-minded people who are passionate about their products and achieving a job well done.

Kevin personally manages every project at Orion Product Development and actively seeks new technical challenges and learning opportunities.
